Since the early 1970s, Stephane Jolicoeur has sought to perfect the art of recreational, cave and technical diving.

 

After 25 years of recreational diving, Stephane Jolicoeur studied cave diving in North Florida in the mid-90s. Cave diving offers much more rigorous and strict guidelines and procedures. These advanced protocols were then applied and taught by Stephane Jolicoeur in his different dive courses in Canada.     

 

Stephane Jolicoeur was certified as a Trimix & Full Cave Diver by Jarrod Jablonski and a Trimix, Full Cave, Adv Cave Stage & Multi-stage and Adv Cave DPV Instructor by Lamar Hires and Scott Carnahan, some of the most internationally renowned explorers.
Stephane Jolicoeur is one of the few Full Cave, Adv Cave Stage & Multi-stage and Adv Cave DPV Instructor in Canada. He is also one of the few to teach recreational, cave & technical diving full-time.

 

During the spring, summer and fall months, he teaches technical and wreck penetration in Quebec, the Thousand Islands, Ontario and up-state New York. During the winter, he teaches cave diving and other specialties on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico, and Florida. He is also involved in multiple exploration projects.

 

 

Stephane Jolicoeur has worked and dove throughout Canada, the continental United States, Hawaii, the Caribbean, Belize, Pacific and Eastern Mexico, Greece and French Polynesia. He has certified hundreds of divers of various technical levels of training.

Stephane Jolicoeur is the president and co-founder of the Association of Scuba Divers of Quebec, a non-profit organization with a mandate to:

1.    Promote scuba diving safety in Quebec.
2.    Disseminate information on scuba diving.
3.    Protect diver, instructor, dive store and charter rights.
4.    Act as an expert group advising on all recreational and technical scuba diving matters.

He is also the founder and moderator of one of the most frequented technical diving French forums, Tekdiv.com.

 

Since 1996, he has participated in multiple cinematographic ventures, documentaries and underwater videos, including Facing Darkness (2007), a Pixnat Production, filmed in the North Florida caves. The latest has received international recognition and obtained the second prize at the Eastern Mediterranean International Underwater Photography & Film Festival of Cyprus.   
Stephane Jolicoeur is also the owner of the Sportcuf, an effective diving equipment accessory that minimizes movement or loss of wrist bottom timers, computers, watches and compasses.
